When Riley runs away from home on her 16th birthday to find her birthfather who she has never met, she comes to realize that sometimes when we go searching for something more, we end up where we started with a new perspective.

When Riley runs away to NYC to find her father without her mother’s approval, she first meets Collin, an awkward, inquisitive teenage boy searching for a purpose of his own. With no place to stay, Riley joins Collin and his family as she gets back on her feet to find what she has always been missing. While on the search to find her father who left before Riley was born, Riley unexpectedly falls in love with Collin through a teenage romance that parallels the story of her own mother when she was 16 and in love with Riley’s father. But when Riley finally connects with her father, she is left with nothing but disappointment and anger.
